Input wanted: Sonic project

Hey, everybody. Most of you know that I'm working on a Sonic fan-game. Now, I've already got some ideas on what I'd like to have in the game. But, I'd like to hear from you. Tell me what you think would be cool to have in this game. Tell me what you liked about some of the earlier games. What did you think was most fun? Should there be character cameos or mentions? What sort of mechanics would be useful? What kind of enemies should there be/do you want to see? Please, let me know. I'm interested. Don't be shy.
